Dr. Baker: James Baker, DVM completed some undergraduate studies in Arizona before moving to Colorado to obtain a BS degree in Biological Science. At Colorado State University he received his DVM degree in 1984. With an interest in emergency and critical care, Dr. Baker started working at PVEAC 1985. He is active in performing surgery at the Arizona Humane Society. Dr. Baker enjoys weight lifting and spending time with his family.
Dr. Carotenuto:
Dr. Sarah Carotenuto has a special interest in emergency and critical care and orthopedics. She is PennHIP certified and has completed the AO Fracture Management and Bone Plating Introductory course. She loves the variety of cases in emergency medicine and is dedicated to working with owners to find the right options and veterinary care for their pets in times of need. She also works hard to keep the regular veterinarians informed and apprised of the medical care provided to their client and their pets.
Dr. Sarah enjoys hiking, biking, being active in a local church, cooking and crafts. She shares her home with Vincent, her husband of eight years, her two dogs, Peanut Butter and Jelly, and her cat, Tetelestai.
Dr. Rosenfeld
Dr. Andrew J Rosenfeld, DVM, ABVP, graduated from the New York School of Veterinary Medicine (Cornell University) in 1991 and has been practicing emergency medicine for the last 17 years. His medical interests are in Emergency / Critical Care, Ultrasound, Internal Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Rosenfeld has always had a strong interest in teaching and has been an instructor at Arizona State University and Mesa Community College in Animal Science and Technology.
Dr. Rosenfeld has written a training and interactive text for veterinary hospitals called The Veterinary Medical Team Handbook from Blackwell Press. Dr. Rosenfeld is currently co‐writing an interactive training textbook in Clinical Pathology called Clinical Pathology for the Veterinary Team (Blackwell – 2009).
